 About Gisclair and Associates

Since our inception in 1984, Gisclair and Associates has gained distinction in the field of vocational rehabilitation and case management services. Founded by Bob A. Gisclair, Gisclair and Associates has grown from a small company into a multidisciplinary corporation. We offer unparalleled services in distinct areas of vocational rehabilitation and managed care. Our licensed consultants and registered nurses are trained in assessing and coordinating rehabilitation needs.

The last two decades have demonstrated an unequaled growth in our industry. We have become increasingly more aggressive and responsive to customers as well as partners in business.

Since our beginning, perseverance, commitment and focus has guided us in the markets we serve. Our tenure in the region is a testament to our daily affirmation in which we hope to be thought of as your preeminent care providers and experts.

About the Owner - Bob Gisclair

Bob Gisclair

Bob Gisclair has over 43 years’ experience in vocational rehabilitation field. He is currently self-employed with associates throughout the state. 

Bob obtained his Master's Degree in Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of Southwestern Louisiana. His Bachelor's Degree is in Psychology and was obtained from Nicholls State University.

Bob is a Licensed Rehabilitation Counselor in the State of Louisiana and is also a nationally Certified Rehabilitation Counselor. He is a certified Disability Management Specialist, Certified Case Manager (R), Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor, Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Life Care Planner.  Bob recently received recognition as a Fellow by the International Academy of Life Care Planners.  He is also a Medicare Set-Aside Certified Consultant, and a Certified Medicare Secondary Payer Professional.

He recently served on the board for the International Academy of Life Care Planners. He is also a former member of the Licensed Professional Vocational Rehabilitation Counselors Board of Examiners. Before being elected as Chairman of the board in December of 1999, Bob served as Ethics Chair. He is a past board member of the Louisiana Association of Rehabilitation Providers in the Private Sector and has served on various committees at the request of three Governors. He has served as a past volunteer for CASA and currently is a wish granter for the Make A Wish Foundation.  

 

Mona Davie Elder

Mona Davie earned her Master's of Science degree in Vocational Rehabilitation from the University of Louisiana in Lafayette, LA in 1999.  She also earned her Bachelor's of Art in Social Work from Northwestern University in 1995.  Mona has provided vocational rehabilitation services for injured workers for 22 years.  As a vocational consultant, she evaluates injured workers and works with all parties in placing them in the workforce. She is also qualified and has provided testimony as an expert in the field of Vocational Rehabilitation in several Office of Workers' Compensation Courts in Louisiana and for the Department of Labor in Texas Federal Court. 

 

Jeff Carlisle

Jeff Carlisle has over 45 years’ experience in the vocational rehabilitation field. He has joined Gisclair and Associates as a vocational rehabilitation counselor and vocational expert.

Jeff obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and his Master’s Degree in Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of South Florida located in Tampa, Florida.

Jeff is a Licensed Rehabilitation Counselor in the State of Louisiana and is a nationally Certified Rehabilitation Counselor. Jeff also holds national certifications as a Case Manager and Disability Management Specialist.

Jeff is a Past President of the International Association of Rehabilitation Professionals, as well as a Past President of the Florida and Louisiana Chapters of this association. Jeff has served as a Commissioner on the Commission for Rehabilitation Counselor Certification during which time he was Chair of the Ethics Committee. During his last year of service, he was Chair of the Commission. He was a member of the 2010 CRCC Code of Ethics Revision Taskforce within which he also served as chair of the committee tasked with revision of the evaluation, testing, and forensic sections of the Code.

Jeff has authored various articles and given numerous presentations on vocational rehabilitation, the provision of expert witness testimony, professional disclosure, and ethical case practice.
